Microsoft Sues Samsung Cross License Agreement Problem

Microsoft Sues Samsung Cross License Agreement Problem

Friday (1/8) Microsoft filed a lawsuit against Samsung in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. Microsoft to seek legal counsel to Samsung to pay Microsoft to the appropriate provisions of the contract between them. Ironically, Microsoft has a number of patents related to the production of Android devices, and the two companies signed a cross-licensing agreement in 2011, to share with one another license.

As has been pointed out by Microsoft, in the years since the contract was signed, Samsung has mencapau smartphone sales quadrupled, and is now a leading supplier in the world. Year when the two sides signed the pact,

Samsung has sold 82 million units of the Android smartphone. Three years later increased to 314 million units. The results of this sales increase, make the payment obligations Samsung to Microsoft rose sharply.

According to David Howard, Corporate Vice President & Deputy General Counsel for Microsoft, Samsung was slit to get out of the contract, and purchase Microsoft Nokia Devices and Services as an excuse to claim that the contract was no longer valid.

Samsung has not commented on this, slowly but surely the case will go to the courtroom. First Apple, and now Microsoft. Could Samsung have problems socially with others?
